Hp deskjet 970cxi driver for mac

I would appreciate any helpful comments or suggestions on the report above and the questions below. Now that I have gone over to Macs, I'm a 'stranger in a strange land'. I had absolutly no problems with my old DJ870Cxi w/ Gateway G6 333mhz. UNTIL HP COMES UP WITH AN OS 10.3.6 SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR THE HP 2.5 DRIVERS ACROBAT READER 5 MUST BE SELECTED AS THE 'OPENS WITH' DEFAULT TO PRINT PDF FILES ON DESKJET 6540 PRINTER. THE DRIVERS THAT COME WITH 6500 SERIES HP DESKJET PRINTERS 'v 2.5 FOR MACINTOSH OS X v10.1.5+' WILL NOT PRINT PDF FILES WITH THE 'OPENS WITH' DEFAULT SET TO PREVIEW.
